Overview

This project pays homage to my queer and trans community and the raw beauty they bring into fashion and creative space. I have always had such a love for my communities and how they showcase a sense of beauty in the space they are in, and they have given me the confidence to have a more profound application for my queer and transness. This project was a black-and-white editorial that showcased how queer and trans beauty in creative space can have a considerable impact.

The black and white color grading and the minimal wardrobe were to play into the Calvin Klein campaign shoots that were done in the 90s and are still done today. I wanted to take an ad campaign that has very heteronormative energy and replace it with trans and queer models—showcasing the impact that queer and trans people have had in creative spaces.
